Wild Wild West: Kidd traded to Mavs

After ups and downs in the rade discussions Jason Kidd finally got his wish and was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The trade was restructured after bench player devean George blocked the deal by using his no trade clause. The deal, which officially involves 11 players and 2 future draft picks, makes the Western Conference even more deadly with the arrival of Jason Kidd. This trade comes as the aftermath of forward Pau Gasol going to the Lakers and Shaquille O’ Neal going to the Suns. In the deal which includes the Mavericks also getting Malik Allen, and Antoine Wright, the  will receive point guard Devin Harris, DeSanga Diop, retired forward Keith Van Horn, rookie Maurice Ager, Trenton Hassell and two future first round picks (this year and 2010). This trade make Dallas one of teams to beat in the very talented West which has only a 41/2 game difference between the first place New Orleans Hornets and the 8th seed Houston Rockets.
