It was Dwight’s night
The 2008 NBA dunk contest did not disappoint with Dwight Howard literally soaring to victory. He, along with fellow contestants, Rudy Gay, Jamario Moon, and 2007 winner Gerald Green displayed their skills and innovation Saturday night. Dwight Howard started out fast pulling off and dunk by throwing it off the back of the backboard and doing a reverse jam. Gerald Green nearly jumped out of the building on his first two dunks, (one including him blowing out a candle that was in his a cupcake that he put on top of the rim earining him a 50 from the judges) and gave Dwight a run at the end. Dwight Howard sealed his victory by putting on a superman cape and dunking from nearly the free throw line. there was nothing Gerald could do to try and repeat as the champ. It was Dwight “Superman” Howard’s night.

About My Sports Blog

Jacoby Ellsbury has come into his own anchoring the Red Sox lineup.
This is a sports blog that I started during my senior year of high school. My love of baseball and basketball drew me to create this blog. I am an aspiring journalist who will use this blog to cover my favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox, as well as all other top stories in the world of sports. Enjoy!
**UPDATE: I have written continuously about the Portland Trail Blazers, but will no longer be covering the team on this site. I will instead be writing about Portland four times per week on Fan Huddle, a site that will be starting this fall. I will have more information, including a link to my site on Fan Huddle, when it becomes available. **
